Time Limitation for Accepting or Rejecting a Request for Arbitration

For how may days do you have to wait for a notice after you file a request for arbitration with an arbitration commission in China?

You need to wait for no more than five (5) days before you are notified whether your request for arbitration has been accepted or rejected.

If your request for arbitration is accepted, the arbitration commission will notify both the disputing parties of the date of hearing within the time period specified in the arbitration rules. And either disputing party may request a postponement of the hearing for good cause shown within the time period specified in the arbitration rules. Whether to grant a postponement will be decided by the arbitration tribunal.

If your request for arbitration is rejected, you will be informed of the reasons for rejection.
