Corrections and Additions of an Award in International Arbitration

If the arbitral tribunal finds any clerical, typographical, or computational errors or issues that have been decided by the arbitral tribunal but omitted in the award, it shall make corrections and additions in a timely manner.

If either party or any other participant in the arbitration believes that there are omissions or errors in the award, they may request additions and corrections within30 days from the date of receipt of the award.

Upon receipt of such a request, the arbitral tribunal shall review the award. If it is confirmed that the request is tenable and an error or omission does exist in the award, it shall make corrections and additions as requested within the time period specified in the applicable arbitration rules, for example, within thirty (30) days of receipt of the request in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of CIETAC, SHIAC, SCIA, and SHIAC FTZ. And such corrections and additions, made either on the initiative of the arbitral tribunal or at the request of either disputing party or any other participant, shall constitute a part of the arbitration award.
